Guernsey Pipers join the Market!
We’re delighted to share that the Guernsey Pipers, the island’s celebrated ensemble of traditional bagpipers, will be joining us at the Market at the Manor on Saturday 14 June. Their evocative, stirring melodies will weave through the historic grounds of Sausmarez Manor, adding a rich and resonant layer of local heritage to the vibrant atmosphere of our weekly market.

As visitors browse an eclectic mix of artisan stalls, fresh produce, and handmade crafts, the sounds of the pipes will bring a truly unique and cultural flourish to the market. We look forward to welcoming you for what promises to be a lively and enjoyable morning.

Sausmarez Manor is one of the oldest and most iconic venues in Guernsey, known for its elegant exterior, quirky charm, ghost tours and historic roots dating as far back as the 10th Century.

This summer it will welcome another chapter in its illustrious life cycle, as it hosts an exciting new music event, organised by one of Europe's leading touring agents and featuring a blend of homegrown and international talent.
​
Kicking off the day will be one of the most respected DJ on the island, Leon Robertson, setting the tone ahead of a brand-new creation from Paris: 'Le Village' — a French Soul, Reggae, and Afro-groove collective featuring Bibi Tanga, Djeudjoah, Lieutenant Nicholson, and Jacques Daoud."

Taking place on Saturday 19th July, doors open at 4 pm with a groovy musical lineup served alongside chilled rose, and a selection of gastronomic treats prepared by some of the island's leading chefs.
​
As the sun sets to the sound of "Le Village" vibes echoing over the spectacular gardens, this one-day boutique festival will mix great music with a magical experience that only the Manor can offer.
​
In keeping with the community theme, the event will support Bright Beginnings, a fantastic local charity which provides support for babies, children and their carers throughout the early years to give them the best start in life.
ODDSOCKS PERFORMANCES
A Midsummer Night's Dream
Returning to the beautiful outdoor setting of Sausmarez Manor, long-time favourites Oddsocks are back this summer with their trademark energy and inventive comic flair. From 13 to 16 August, they’ll bring Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life in a series of lively open-air performances, filled with laughter, music, and magical mayhem in the warmth of the summer dusk.

Whether you're a history buff, a curious adventurer, or simply looking for something special to do, come and enjoy a guided tour through centuries of heritage.

Tours now run three time a day Monday to Thursday at 10.30am, 11.30am and 2.30pm, with just one tour at 11.30am on Fridays and Saturdays to accommodate weddings and event bookings at the Manor.
