Miniature Train

Guernsey's only railway is a delight for the whole family

This is an enjoyable and gentle train journey through part of the woodland. Over the quarter of a mile loop the train passes a selection of cuddly toys that delight younger passengers.

The station is co-located with a children's play area.

For the enthusiasts; the engine is a BR class 25 outline 7¼" gauge 4-4wPH named 'Remus' that was a home build by a Mr T. Leigh in 1989. The Sausmarez Manor Miniature Railway line opened in 1985 and was further extended a little later.

The train will be running again after 16 May in the weekends and School Holidays.

The train at the station
Is Ready to Go
Two toots on the whistle
The driver will blow
Our journey will start
With an owl in a tree
I wonder who else
In the woods we will see?
There are bears at a picnic
And monkeys at play
So give them a wave
As we head on our way
Unicorns. Tigers. Lions. Giraffes
And just round the corner
Where everyone laughs
We come to the snakes
From the branches they sway
So push them aside
All shout "GET OUT THE WAY'

Once we have passed
And we've left them behind
There are Gruffalos hiding
We now have to find
Onwards we go
There is still more to see
So all wave your flags
At the bees in the tree
Our journey through woodlands
Now nearing its end
The station so close
It is just 'round the bend
We arrive with a smile
In the warmth of the sun
We hope you enjoyed it
And had lots of fun
You made many friends
While you rode on the train
